Having just turned 20 this year, Elizabeth Chan (陈美锜) has spent most of her life dancing. We caught up with her in Singapore Chinese Girls’ School (SCGS), where she was training the girls for the opening item in Cadence 《舞韵》, an upcoming showcase of Singapore’s very own young talents in Chinese dance.

Applications are now open for SPROUTS 2010, a new works platform for budding choreographers, which will be held from 7 August to 18 September 2010. This will be the second edition of SPROUTS presented by the National Arts Council together with Frontier Danceland. The closing date for applications is 30 June 2010, 5pm.

An opportunity for potential and up and coming dancers to be guided by professional dance practitioners from the ECNAD Performing team.
